The Nuclear family was a group of brainwashed individuals that pretended to be a family, using drugs to enhance their physical capabilities.
History[]
At some point in time, Dr. Adamson brainwashed the members of the family,[1] setting them up in a home in St. Louis, Missouri. At a later point, he called on them to find Rachel Roth. Travelling interstate from St. Louis to Detroit, the family found Detective Amy Rohrbach, the partner of Dick Grayson, who had been protecting the girl in question. They killed Rohrbach, before finding both Grayson and Rachel in Washington, D.C. while they were staying with Dawn Granger and Hank Hall. They entered a fight, ultimately sending Dawn into a coma and capturing Rachel.[2]
They then headed to Coolville, Ohio, but after stopping at a gas station, "Nuclear Dad" was killed by Kory Anders, who proceeded to take Rachel. The rest of the family headed to Dr. Adamson in Chicago, Illinois, telling him of the bad news. Adamson was not pleased by this, but allowed the family another chance.[3] They returned home, where they were met by their new patriarch, "Nuclear Stepdad". They continued on their mission, visiting Gold Star and beating Gerald for information on Dick Grayson and company. They ultimately found Rachel holed up at Do-Si-Do Motel, where Dick Grayson, Kory Anders, and Gar Logan had aligned to defend her. A fight ensued between the two groups, but ultimately the family was defeated and tied up. Accidentally giving away the location of Dr. Adamson when questioned, the family's implanted explosives were detonated, blowing off all of their heads, killing them.[1]
